Meet One Of The Faces Behind West Lynde Dental
I’m Avi Wurman, one of the proud owners of West Lynde Dental.
I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
Shortly after graduating from dental school, I started a dental practice with colleagues in the West Lynde neighborhood of Whitby in 1987. In addition, we opened another practice in South Oshawa to serve the community of Lake Vista.
Over the past three decades, we have renovated our West Lynde Dental Office in Whitby several times and updated the equipment, technology, and sterilization capabilities.
Our Lake Vista Dental clinic began with only two treatment rooms on the second floor of the plaza. After expanding several times, we moved to a modern storefront location in the plaza in 2016. Both dental offices offer digital x-rays and diagnostic equipment, giving patients timely treatment details.
Quality Care
We are proud to meet our patient’s dental needs and enjoy close relationships with each one. Knowing our patients on a personal level makes treating them more rewarding. We also realize that our patients choose us for a reason, so we never take them for granted.
Therefore, we work with integrity, and I believe our honest feedback sets us apart. We also strive to exceed expectations by providing quality care and respectful services.
In addition, I attribute our success to paying attention to the little things. As a result, our dedicated dentists listen to patients carefully to render maximum comfort and ensure the best patient experience possible.
Changing Patients’ Lives
We’ve always been committed to helping people, but what amazes us is our ability to change people’s lives by creating beautiful smiles. Improving the confidence of individuals has made my decision to start two dental offices gratifying.
When I’m not fixing smiles, I love playing and watching sports. I’m a shameless fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and follow the Blue Jays and Raptors. I also enjoy a good outdoor run and listening to music. Since my family members are all dentists, we spend much time discussing dental best practices and solving treatment challenges for our patients.
Continued Dental Education
Throughout my career, I’ve held leadership positions with organized dental groups, including Alpha Omega International Dental Society and Toronto Crown and Bridge Study Club. The values of Alpha Omega have always aligned with mine. These include integrity, compassion, generosity, and inclusion. I also appreciate how Toronto Crown and Bridge Study Club provides its membership with outstanding continuing dental education.
